About Us

WRS Livestock Scanning Services Ltd began its life in 1993 as Ward & Rosa Livestock Scanning Services.

At that time livestock scanning was still a fledgling industry, and the founders of the company, Bernie Ward and Steve Rosa, worked hard to establish themselves, initially focusing on the Hawkes Bay and Manawatu regions.

Over the years Ward & Rosa grew in size, and the company now has over 700 clients throughout the North Island to whom it provides pregnancy scanning and muscle scanning services.

Chris Spark joined the company as a Scanner in 2000 and soon became an experienced and well regarded operator with a loyal customer base in and around the Manawatu region.

In 2008 Bernie Ward chose to step down from his position as an owner and director of Ward & Rosa, and Chris joined Steve as joint owner of the company, and was appointed Managing Director. At that time the company also re-branded as WRS Livestock Scanning Services Ltd.
